A concept like that sounds far too simple for a hack 'n' slash game, which admittedly it kind of is, however the bosses are so interesting and so memorable (for the most part), that you can't help but get sucked in the game's weird sense of fourth-wall humor and otaku comic book style. Captain Vladimir is pretty much one of my favourites. It has some great build-up: you driving on the motorway to your destination, no obstacles, no enemies, just a calm drive to the next arena, but when you see the area you're going to fight in, you're like "WH! AT DA FAAWWWWCCKK is that?! D8" The boss itself is very, very fun too. It may not be no Henry or Alice, but it's well-put together and has you using your brains to overcome the odds. The music and the area is wonderful too. A simple grassy field with the wind blowing just feels so ethereal, I love it. Really, my best assumption of this battle, Travis already spoke for me (something you find Travis tends to do quite a bit in the series); "I gotta fight af*ckin' space station!?".
